Description:
Of the 44 letters of the Hungarian alphabet, 22 are symmetrical and 22 are asymmetrical. I wrote each letter within a square and plotted them with the simplest lines and curves possible. I endeavoured to portray the common features of the characters, and to have the lines touch the points of the square wherever possible. I plotted the 22 asymmetrical letters, ultimately, within a common square. I did the same with the symmetrical letters, but these I additionally divided in half. From these two halves derived thus, I produced newspaper frames, which could be used by the viewers to the exhibition for the duration of the exhibition. (J.A.Á.)
